About us
Taito Southwest Finland is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent association that has promoting Finnish handicrafts and arts for over 115 years. We organize a variety of handicraft courses, events and exhibitions. We also run Taito Shop in the Great Old Square of Turku. Our association has positions in three locations: Turku, Salo and Raisio. We have five permanent employees and a number of qualified part-time teachers.
Our vision is to be socially the most influential promoter of well-being and edvocate of circular economy by using do-it-yourself method.
The activities of our association are open to everyone who is interested in handicrafts, the traditional crafts of southwest Finland, its preservation and development, and the promotion of the industry.
