Ancient Technique: The Basics of Nålbinding

In this nålbinding course, you will learn the oldest known method of creating knitted fabric. You will learn two different nålbinding stitches, how to connect a chain of stitches into a closed piece, and how to create nålbinding mittens or a headband.

The oldest European nålbinding finds date back 4,000 years, while the oldest finds in Finland date from the 11th to 12th century CE. In this course, you will learn two different nålbinding stitches, how to join a chain of stitches into a closed piece, and get instructions for fingerless mittens or a headband.
