Taito-associations organize craft camps and clubs for children and adults alike. The camps vary in length, for example from a weekend to a week. Clubs often meet, for example, once a week throughout the school year. Club activities are also organised in schools after the school day. Established activities include 5×2 art classes, cultural trails and the Finnish Model of Leisure Activities.

Schoolchildren’s summer camps are full of joy to work with your hands and a great place to meet friends. Camps have wide variety of crafts, and a possibility of learning new skills. A relaxed atmosphere and a nice group of people inspire children to try out and realise your own ideas with the guidance of professional teachers. There are also themed camps such as prank and wizard camps, where passionate enthusiasts get to explore their own interests through hands-on activities. The camps are organised in different parts of Finland and for schoolchildren of different ages. In addition to the summer holiday season, camps are also offered during the school autumn and winter holidays.

Camps and retreats also for adults

Craft day camps and overnight retreats are a nice counterbalance to work. The camps often focus on one or a few craft techniques in more depth. There is also a free time to socialise with like-minded people.

Clubs for seniors often meet during the day at the Crafts Centre participants’ wishes are also taken into account. It’s nice to join a familiar group every week and share the joy of learning crafts together.

Registration and information about camps and clubs can always be found in the local arts association’s own communications and on its website. Find your nearest arts club or even the operator in your holiday destination in the Local Activities menu in the top menu.
